We are now past the half way point of the term, and by the chill in the air you can certainly tell that Winter is coming. We have been trying to take advantage of the pleasant afternoons we have been enjoying lately by taking groups of children who want to go outside out for a play after snack at After School care, and we have been noticing the difference in how the sun is setting earlier and earlier each day.
This week at OSHC we will be celebrating national Reconciliation Week This is a special celebration commemorating the anniversary of the 1967 referendum, and the anniversary of the historic Mabo decision. At OSHC the children will have opportunities to learn about and celebrate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, while having lots of fun and sharing ideas along the way.
With the term quickly progressing, it is time to start thinking about School Holiday Program. The theme for these holidays is Wonders of the World, which offers a journey through international cultures, cuisines, sports and creations. Bookings for Camp Australia’s Holiday Clubs are now open. Copies of the program that will be on offer at our two closest Holiday Clubs, Ocean Grove Primary School and Geelong East Primary School, are now available at the service, and are also on the Camp Australia School Holiday Club website, which is www.campaustralia.com.au/holidayclubs
