Reconciliation Week

Yesterday in assembly we marked Reconciliation Week with a presentation led by our School Captains.  Acceptance is one of our five school values in recognition of the diversity of the community and, the significance of valuing each person for who they are.  Our assembly concluded with a shared walk when each year group symbolically walked around the Hall with a partner year group to reinforce the importance of acceptance.

ICAS Testing

Each year we offer the opportunity for students in Years 3 to 6 to take part in the ICAS testing program organised by the University of New South Wales.  Students who thought they might be interested in taking part took home a letter three weeks ago.  Further copies of this letter are available from our ICAS coordinator, Mr Bradford, for anyone who wants a copy and missed out.  Please note that there are couple of changes from the arrangements that have operated in previous years.  All tests are now happening in a two week period at the beginning of September.  All tests will now be completed online.  Tests will still take place as a group during school time.

Thank You!

The Gardening Club would like to send many thanks to the wonderful parent who donated all the kangaroo paws to the school. We didn’t get to hear which family donated these, so please let us know who you are so we can thank you in person. We have planted them and are very excited to see them grow. Thank you so much!

Camp Australia

We are now past the half way point of the term, and by the chill in the air you can certainly tell that Winter is coming. We have been trying to take advantage of the pleasant afternoons we have been enjoying lately by taking groups of children who want to go outside out for a play after snack at After School care, and we have been noticing the difference in how the sun is setting earlier and earlier each day.
