This week at OSHC at Drysdale Primary School we are becoming architects and builders as we explore different construction methods within the service. There has already been so much creativity going on, as well as some problem solving and teamwork as the children try to figure out little problems that arise in their constructions. Next week, we are focusing on Superheroes, a theme that the children have suggested.
Already there have been lots of discussions about the topic. We will finish out the term with an Easter themed week, which will include the announcement of the winners of our very popular annual Easter Colouring Competition
If you haven’t already, it is time to start thinking about your plans for your children for over the approaching school holidays. Bookings are now open for Camp Australia School Holiday Rocketeers programs, including Drysdale Primary School’s own Rocketeers program. The Rocketeers program will also be available at Drysdale Primary School on Tuesday the 26th of April, which is a pupil free day. Copies of the program that will be on offer are now available on the Camp Australia School Holiday Club website, which is www.campaustralia.com.au/holidayclubs, as well as the option to make bookings.
In regards to the current Covid situation we ask that if your child tests positive to Covid and has attended OSHC while potentially contagious or was booked into OSHC and now will not attend due to being in isolation and recovery, please contact our Customer Care team on 1300 105 343. This not only helps us follow our Covid Safe Plan and processors, but families will also benefit as they will not have to pay for any sessions of care that a child misses due to having Covid.
Please be reminded that due to the current situation with Covid and in line with Camp Australia’s Covid safe plan, shaped by government and health authority recommendations, parents are not to enter the hall building while OSHC is operation. We are continuing our phone in system where parents call the OSHC number when they arrive, and we will bring your child to the door with their bag. Our phone number is 0404 427 452. This number is also displayed on the OSHC glass door.
In line with current government directives, we ask that all children in grades 3-6 (other than those with a medical exception) wear a face mask when they are inside at OSHC. If your child has a medical exception could a copy of this signed by a doctor be provided to the service ASAP. If you have already provided evidence of a medical condition such as for inclusion support reasons you do not need to provide further evidence. We thank the children and families who have complied thus far with this directive and support of us, and the school, on this matter.
Parents please be reminded that in order to use the service they need to be registered with Camp Australia. We are legally unable to accept children who are not registered with us. Bookings can be made or cancelled by using our Parent portal app, on the phone on 1300 105 343, or online on www.campaustralia.com.au.
We look forward to seeing you and your family soon.
From the team at Camp Australia Drysdale Primary School OSHC.
