It has been a busy start to the term for the Wellbeing and Inclusion work, with Student Support Group meetings happening over the past few weeks. Teachers should be finished in updating and writing Individual Education Plans for students this week, so if your child needs one you should receive a copy very soon. These IEPs help teachers set targeted and focused goals to support students in their areas of improvement – academically, socially and personally.
We are very lucky to have a large Inclusion team that support students in all class across the school each day, with in class learning support and other adjustments so all students can have a successful day. Our Inclusion Team also support other elements of our school including the garden and worm farm, library, Breakfast Club and intervention supports such as Oral Language Program. They do an amazing job each day and we couldn’t function without this wonderful team of people.
