KEEP THE DATE FREE
We have our first whole school working bee coming up on Saturday 25th March. More information to come in the following weeks about jobs to be done and times, but keep the morning free to come along and help to clean up the school grounds.
CLEAN UP DRYSDALE PRIMARY SCHOOL WEEK
This week is Clean up Drysdale Primary School Week – in preparation for Clean Up Australian Day on Sunday March 5th. Here at Drysdale Primary School, we have some fun activities planned for the week to encourage cleaning up and taking pride in our school. This week we are encouraging all students to bring Nude Food every day of the week. Names will be collated at the end of the week and a class and individual awards will be presented at Assembly on Friday. Each lunchtime we will be running different activities from poster competitions to cleaning up the school grounds to making personal pledges to look after our environment. All students are encouraged to participate in all or some of these activities throughout the week.
Thanks to all families for supporting our schools sustainability program.

WONDERSOFT BREAD BAG RECYCLING
Lets start collecting and do our bit for DPS to be more sustainable! We are encouraging our school community again this year to collect bread bags. By collecting bread bags and bringing them into school we will receive points towards new sports equipment. The more bread bags we collect the more points we get!
Last year DPS received some much needed netballs for our school and saved 12 plus kgs of bread bags going to landfill!
Donations Please – Organic bags
A huge thanks to those families who have donated organic bin liners to their classrooms. These bags are helping us collect all food scraps and organic waste so that we can develop our compost in our schools veggie garden. If you still need to donate to our student’s class we are very happy to accept a roll of 36L green Mr Eco compostable bin liners. This can be purchased at our local Coles or Woolworth stores.
