May I acknowledge the tremendous support of the school community yesterday. I do understand that the timing of the pupil free day became inconvenient with the return to school of all students earlier than expected. The staff spent the day working hard on detailed plans for making the best use of the remaining eight weeks of term to support both the students’ academic learning and their wellbeing.
Our primary academic focus will be on filling in gaps in our reading, writing and maths programs resulting from he lengthy periods of remote learning. We will also be running dedicated sessions to help the children with their social and emotional regulation as they adjust to the re-opening of society.
Please remember that we have a team of staff here at Drysdale PS whose role is to support children who are anxious. If you have concerns about your child, please get in touch with any one of the Principal Team or your child’s classroom teacher.
