It has been a busy and fun first full week back at school for the children attending OSHC at Drysdale primary school. We’ve been working on our child profiles so that we can learn about the children’s interests, and plan experiences that will guide their growth and learning, while still being relevant and engaging for them.
This week we are celebrating Chinese New Year, with lots of fun activities planned, including a chopstick relay, panda cards, discovering our Chinese Zodiac animal, and learning to write some Chinese characters.
Camp Australia recognises that it can be challenging to know everything you need to know about how outside school hours care. That’s why we’ve organised informative and interactive virtual information sessions that ensure you get the most relevant information for your family. These sessions will be run by our leaders in the OSHC community, and will answer questions on programs that are offered, the registration and booking process, billing, the Child Care Subsidy, and much more. There are two sessions; one will be held on Tuesday the 16th of Feb at 12:30, while the other will be held on Thursday the 18th of Feb at 8:00. To register for one of these sessions please go to www.campaustralia.com.au/virtual-info-sessions. If you can’t make it to one of these sessions, you can also simply call into the service, and we will answer your questions to the best of our ability. Alternatively you can send s an email at oshc@campaustralia.com.au and one of our friendly Customer Care representatives can answer your questions.
With last weeks adjustment to Covid related restrictions we ask that all parents please wear a face mask when dropping off or collecting their child from the service.
OSHC at Drysdale Primary School operates out of the School hall. We open at 7:00 each school day, and children are at 8:50. Unfortunately we are unable to accept children into our care earlier than 7:00. Families can access the service through the hall glass door that faces out onto Stonehouse Place (tennis courts carpark). At 3:30, children attending after school care walk over to the hall and we provide a safe place for hem to play and engage with other children until they are collected by their parent or other authorised contact. Our closing time is 6:00, please ensure that you have collected your children by then. Late pick up of children may incur additional charges.
This year we are moving to completely digitised enrollment records. Please take this opportunity to ensure all of your details are up to date, including your contact phone numbers, address and any relevant medical information. Keeping this information up to date and complete is a vital part of the service remaining compliant, and we can no longer just change things on your enrolment form, or add details, such as medicare or ambulance numbers, or doctor’s details and have you initial the change. All changes must be done online through the Camp Australia parent portal. Your assistance in this matter is greatly appreciated.
Parents please be reminded that in order to use the service they need to be registered with Camp Australia.. We are unable to accept children into the service who are not registered with Camp Australia.
A friendly reminder for parents that for staffing and catering purposes children should be booked into OSHC through the Camp Australia head office, and that should you need to cancel their booking please can this be done through head office as well. This works out much cheaper for you, as there are additional fees involved if children do not attend sessions they are booked in for. Bookings can be made or cancelled by logging into the Camp Australia website https://www.campaustralia.com.au or by ringing 1300 105 343….. The team are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week (except National Public Holidays).
We look forward to seeing you and your family soon!
