During Remote Learning 2.0, the Year 3 students have been working extremely hard learning new concepts and topics in Reading, Writing and Maths.
In Reading, students have been learning how to summarise the texts that they have read, answering and creating their own comprehension questions, inferring about how a character is feeling and describing the personality traits of characters from their books.
In Writing, the students have been looking at and writing different types of informational texts, such as facts about animals, recount writing about their favourite holiday and creating their own newspaper report. The students have also just begun to revisit imaginative texts, where they will be creating and writing their own imaginative stories.
In Maths, the students have been investigating fractions and equivalent fractions, as well as learning how to read coordinates and creating a map of a house/town.
The students have also been completing mindfulness activities and weekly STEM activities, such as designing their own game and creating their own flipbooks.
The Year 3 teachers have been really impressed with how the students have handled Remote Learning for the second time, displaying wonderful Resilience, Acceptance, Integrity, Success and Enjoyment at all times.
