Week 5! Wow where is this term going?
This week some amazing students came to the AP office full of excitement about what they were learning!
Heidi from Year 5 presented to us her work about ‘Timezones.’ She included information about Greenwich Mean Time and the time difference between and here and Darwin!
Will and Eli from Year 3 completed some data collection they devised questions that allowed them to collect accurate data! Their questions were based around pets and which type would be suitable for the classroom! I am not sure about the spider but I bet the chimpanzee would make learning even more interesting!
Nathan from Year 6 attended a ‘Bug House’ creating workshop. Nathan used recycled wood and glued and screwed the pieces together to make a box. Nathan then placed different sized pieces of wood and branches in the box and drilled different sized holes into them to create ‘houses’ for the bugs. We are extremely grateful to Nathan as he has donated this to our veggie garden here at school. He placed it next to our existing ‘Bug Hotel.’ An interesting fact from Nathan “The Bug Box needs to face East, West or South as North is too hot for them.” Thanks Nathan
