We are committed to strengthening the communication between the school and home, particularly between parents and teachers. The introduction of FlexiBuzz opens up a new channel where the school and teachers can communicate directly with parents in a timely and convenient manner.
To join our FlexiBuzz community, go to the app store (available on both Apple and Android), search for FlexiBuzz and download the app. Once it is downloaded, search for Drysdale Primary School and register. Then select which group (class) you would like to join. This will then allow you to have a private or group communication with your child’s classroom teacher. It will also allow you to receive notifications specific to your child’s class, e.g. the bus returning from an excursion is running ten minutes late. You can also choose to receive reminders, e.g. the permission form for next week’s excursion is due back on Friday.

FlexiBuzz Features
FlexiBuzz has three distinct features designed to help our parent community to be better informed.
Newsfeed
The Newsfeed function is used to send bulk information to parents. This might include information for the whole school, a year level or group of year levels, or an individual class. These messages cannot be replied to but may contain attachments for further information
An example of a News Feed item might be a message about House Cross Country sent to a group of year levels with a link to a parent volunteer form.
Calendar
The Calendar will contain information about whole school, year level and class events. An event may be set up with a notification to remind parents 24 hours before they occur.
An example of a Calendar item could be a Kids Matter Assembly with a notification on Sunday.
Chat
The Chat function of the App allows parents to communicate directly with their children’s classroom teacher. Once a conversation has commenced, parents and teachers can reply directly to one another. Users will receive a notification whenever there is a new message in a conversation.
An example of a Chat item could be a note about your child receiving a Resilience token for persisting on a difficult maths problem.
FlexiBuzz Guidelines
The school have developed guidelines for the use of FlexiBuzz. These take into consideration our role as an eSmart school and aim to protect all users of the App. Users will have to read and agree to these guidelines before they will be able to use the App.
