How quickly has this term flown by? It is hard to believe that it is already week five of first term.
This week at OSHC we are thinking about travel with activities including how to say hello in different language, making treasure maps, holiday posters, building different structures from around the world challenge, We will also be giving children the opportunity to practice their songs for Family Dance Night, and so much more.
Parents, please be advised that they will notice a change in staff at OSCH in a few weeks. Lisa will be away during March due to travelling overseas, and Kane will be stepping up as co-ordinator in her absence. Lisa will be back at OSHC for the commencement of term 2.
With the commencement of the school year we need to remind everyone that sun smart hats should be brought to OSHC so that the children can go outside and enjoy the amazing weather we get this time of year at after school care. If your child is not allowed by their classroom teacher to bring their hats home after school it is a good idea to have a spare hat in their bag (an old kinder or daycare hat is perfect)
OSHC at Drysdale Primary School operates out of the School hall, We open at 7:00 each school day, and send the children off to school at 8:50, when the teachers are scheduled to commence their yard duty. Prep children are escorted to their classrooms for the first 6 weeks of the school year, by which time they are normally very keen to male their own way to school, however if they are still uncertain we can continue his on an as needs basis. Unfortunately we are unable to accept children into our care earlier than 7:00. Families can access the service through the hall glass door that faces out onto Stonehouse place (tennis courts carpark).
At 3:30, once the school bell goes, children attending after school care walk over to the hall from their classrooms, with preps being picked up from their classrooms and we provide a safe place for them to play and engage with other children until they are collected. Our closing time is 6:00. For more information on our service and fees, you may visit our website www.campaustralia.com.au. If you prefer to speak to us, you can contact our friendly Customer Care Team that is available to support our families 24 hours a day, 7 days a week – except for National Public Holidays. Alternatively, you’re welcome to visit us in service and chat with our qualified Educators about the Camp Australia program at your child’s school.
Despite it feeling like the school year has only just begun, bookings are now open for Camp Australia School holiday programs. Our closest programs are Ocean Grove Primary School and East Geelong Primary Schools, but. Did you know that if your child is registered with Camp Australia they can attend a Camp Australia holiday club anywhere in Australia, even interstate if you need it? This Autumn’s Holiday Club is packed with flavour, fun, energy and opportunities to grow. The programs for all Camp Australia holiday clubs are available online, and we have hard copies available at OSHC for Ocean Grove and East Geelong for your convenience.
Parents please be reminded that in order to use the service they need to be registered with Camp Australia. We are unable to accept children into the service who are not registered with Camp Australia.
A friendly reminder for parents that for staffing and catering purposes children should be booked into OSHC through the Camp Australia head office, and that should you need to cancel their booking please can this be done through head office as well. This works out much cheaper for you, as there are additional fees involved if children do not attend sessions they are booked in for. Bookings can be made or cancelled by logging into the Camp Australia website https://www.campaustralia.com.au or by ringing 1300 105 343. The team are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week (except National Public Holidays).
We look forward to seeing you and your family soon! From the Team at Camp Australia.
