It has been another busy week at OSHC, which was broken up nicely by the Geelong Cup public holiday. We hope all those who got the day of had an enjoyable day. While we have been at OSHC the children have enjoyed visiting the Art show and finding their artwork and sharing it with their friends. Playing soccer and markers up, imaginative play with the dolls house and car mats, discussing favourite books, playing lego, doing the 3 marker challenge and exploring the grade 1 area have also been a hit this past week.
There have been some organisational changes at Camp Australia that I have been directed to relay on to parents and the school community. The main change that may impact parents is that we are no longer allowed to accept children into the service who are not already registered with Camp Australia. Therefore we strongly recommend that all families at the school register their child with Camp Australia just in case they need to come in an emergency situation. While there is a registration fee, this is only charged when the service is actually used.
Also, please be advised that we are not able to be taking children booked in to After School Care to the Spring Fair due to the legal regulations and our responsibilities regarding the children’s safety. Please be sure to talk to the OSHC team if you have any concerns regarding this.
If your children will not be attending a session that they have been booked in for due to attending school camp, or because alternative arrangements have been made due to a special event, such as Melbourne Cup day or the Spring Fair, then please cancel there bookings with plenty of time in advance. Not only does this benefit you financially, but it helps us out with planning and organisation. Bookings can be cancelled by logging into the Camp Australia website https://www.campaustralia.com.au or by ringing 1300 105 343
A friendly reminder for parents that for staffing and catering purposes children should be booked into OSHC through the Camp Australia head office, or if it is impractical to do so, through a staff member at OSHC. Where possible bookings and cancellations should be made through the Camp Australia Head Office website https://www.campaustralia.com.au/ or phone number, which is 1300 105 343. This is to ensure that we have adequate numbers of staff present to care for your children, and that we have prepared enough food to go around at snack time.
