Congratulations to McLeod who were victorious in our House Netball Competition that we ran over the last five weeks.
House sport has been a fantastic way to get the Year 5s and 6s to interact together as well as getting the boys and girls to play sport together.
In the Grand Final, McLeod were far too strong for Bengalat and stood out with their evenness across the whole team, even the substitutes. In the end, they won 9-0.
In the Consolation Final, Davis narrowly defeated Dan Dan Nook 4-3.
The general standard of Netball has improved markedly over the tournament and we are really looking forward to seeing our current Year 5s hit the court next year in the Lightning Premiership with their new skills and game awareness. We are also very lucky to have secured some Sporting Schools funding as a result of our tournament and have been able to purchase 16 new match standard netballs for our school.
The next House Sport to start is Dodgeball and all Year 5s and 6s have participated in clinics covering the rules of competition dodgeball.
