On Wednesday, April 6, the Middle Years students went to the Drysdale Library for an excursion. While at the library, the students were shown different features of the library, how to navigate the library website and the benefits of becoming a member of Geelong Regional Libraries. Anne-Marie, the librarian, was fantastic at providing such a valuable experience to the Middle Years students.
The students had a wonderful time at the library. There were lots of books borrowed at the end of the excursion and many students were asking when they could go back again.
Please see read more for some insights from some of the students who attended the library and photos:
On Wednesday, April 6, the Middle Years students went to the Drysdale Library for an excursion. First, we walked over to the library. On our way, we put our thumbs up at people. Next, we got there and listened to a lady. She was very nice. Then we were allowed to get books. I did not get any. Lastly, we walked back to school. I had a good time because the lady told us new stuff and also told us about pirate language.

On Wednesday, April 6, the Middle Years students went to the Drysdale Library for an excursion. First, we walked to the library from school. On the way there I was talking to my friends. Next, we arrived at the Drysdale Library. Before we went in we looked at the brand new library that is getting built. Then we entered the library. We went in and someone introduced themselves to us. After she did that we went to look for some books. Lastly, we scanned our books and we started to walk back to school.

On Wednesday, April 6, the Middle Years students went to the Drysdale Library for an excursion. First we got ready for our day at school. When we were done, we started to walk. We walked past some shops in Drysdale and where the construction site is for the new library. Next, we went inside the library. There were books, computers and movies. We sat down and there was a lady explaining things like how to order books, watch movies and also she showed us their website. Then the lady sent us off to look for books and movies. I started to look for my favourite books but I had no luck. lastly, I went to the front and asked if they could search up my book. They went and got my book for me. Then I went to borrow it and I was happy. I had a good time because we got to borrow books and do fun things. Brody
