It has been yet another busy week at Drysdale Primary School OSHC, with our focus for the week being Book Week. The children have been enjoying engaging in activities such as book and character discussions, comic book art, and drawing our favourite characters, as well as our usual range of active games and quiet options. We have been busy re arranging our art and crafts cupboard, and the children have been having fun with the new craft items we have discovered.
At Camp Australia: Drysdale Primary School OSHC, we are very proud to announce that School Holiday Care is coming to Drysdale Primary School once again this coming set of holidays. The Program for these holidays has been released, and bookings are now open. If you would like to book your child into holiday club, or to view the program please go to https://www.campaustralia.com.au/holidayclubs. Copies of the program are also available at the service and at the school office. If you would rather your child attend a different School Holiday Program, there are also Camp Australia School Holiday Programs running at Ocean Grove Primary School, Geelong East Primary School, Fyans Park Primary School, Clairvaux Catholic Primary School and Montpellier Primary School.
We have also commenced our fund-raising activities for this term, with the children being invited to guess how many Marbles, loom bands or perler beads are in the jar. Guesses cost 10 cents, and winners will be announced at the first school assembly for term 4. For every dollar we raise the Camp Australia head office will also contribute a dollar. We would like to thank the Springdale $2+ shop for their donation, and Lenehan & Associates accountants in Belmont for their support.
Parents, please be advised that the way we do the rolls is changing at Before and After School Care. The 21st century has caught up with us and we are now using a tablet to mark the rolls. Please be aware that you need to make sure all of your authorised pick up people are not just on the documentation at the service, but also have been entered through head office. Please ensure that all of your additional contact people are on your records. This can be checked by contacting Camp Australia Head Office on 1300 105 343.
A friendly reminder for parents that for staffing and catering purposes children should be booked into OSHC through the Camp Australia head office, or if it is impractical to do so, through a staff member at OSHC. Where possible bookings and cancellations should be made through the Camp Australia Head Office website https://www.campaustralia.com.au/ or phone number, which is 1300 105 343. This is to ensure that we have adequate numbers of staff present to care for your children, and that we have prepared enough food to go around at snack time.
