Over the past week we have been able to spend some time in classes, working with teachers and supporting student learning. In Prep, students have been reading ‘Wombat Stew’ and working on recalling important details including who the characters were. They have been working hard to read high frequency words and use pictures to help with predicting more challenging words.
Year 3 are amazing authors and have been working hard on developing an introduction including the ‘Hook’ and ‘Point of View’ for their Persuasive texts. We are looking forward to seeing how the body of their text’s develop over Week 9.
We have had time in Year 2 classes for some Personal Learning sessions, sharing some stories with each class that link to our school values of Acceptance and Integrity. Classes listened to books by Kathryn Otoshi and talked about how they can include each other in games in the yard at recess and lunch. I look forward to sharing these books with Year 1 in the coming weeks.
RDA starts this Friday! We are excited to again be involved in such an amazing program for some of our students!
Just a reminder for students involved to wear long pants!!!!!!
We are very much looking forward to the last few weeks of term where we will be attending events such as the Year 2 Bellarine Railway excursion, Lightning Premiership, Cross Country, RDA, Year 6 Inquiry display and of course the Slime Spectacular!
