Following the Premier’s announcements on Sunday, the key dates for the return to face-to-face teaching at Drysdale Primary School are these:
Term 4 Week 1 beginning Monday, 5th October:
Remote Learning Continues
During this week there will be meetings arranged between parents, students and class teachers to look forward to Term 4. Details of how to arrange appointments will be sent home early next week. As the teachers will be busy with these meetings for parts of each day, there will be a reduced learning grid and no other WebEx meetings. The teachers will continue to support their students during the parts of the day when they are not holding parent meetings.
Term 4 Week 2 beginning Monday, 12th October:
All students return to school for face-to-face teaching. Staggered start and finish times will resume following the same arrangements that existed at the end of Term 2. Part of the purpose of the parent, student and teacher meetings in week 1 is to ensure students are ready to return so that we can resume face-to-face teaching as soon as possible.
Term 4 Week 3 beginning Monday 19th October:
Please note that there are now two public holidays in this week. The Geelong Cup holiday is on Wednesday 21st and the Grand Final Holiday is now on Friday 23rd October. The timing of these holidays is unfortunate and outside our control. We are required to be closed on both these days.
We are very much looking forward to seeing all of our students back onsite again for Term 4. We congratulate them all for their outstanding resilience throughout remote learning. Well done!
