With the Spring Fair happening on Friday there has been a lot of excitement from the children who are looking forward to it. On Spring Fair night we will be operating out of the Grade 1 area once again. Please be advised that we are not able to take children booked in to After School Care on the night of the Spring Fair to the Spring Fair due to the legal regulations and our responsibilities regarding the children’s safety. Please be sure to talk to the OSHC team if you have any concerns regarding this.
In the last week the children have been very busy making things with the Perler Beads, as well as very competitive and intense games of uno. We have also been working with the children to create a new CD of their favourite songs to have at the service for them to listen and dance to. The children have also really enjoyed making use of our new whiteboard markers, and making towers out of the Jenga blocks. Some of the younger children also enjoyed participating in an environmental scavenger hunt.
This week we will be making a poster to promote Spring Fair, as well as making Stress balls and marking Armistice day by making paper poppies. As suggested by one of the older children we will be trying out making galaxy jars, and the children will continue to have the opportunity to make things with the perler beads.
If your children will not be attending a session that they have been booked in for due to attending school camp, or because alternative arrangements have been made due to a special event, such as the Spring Fair, then please cancel there bookings with plenty of time in advance. Not only does this benefit you financially, but it helps us out with planning and organisation. Bookings can be cancelled by logging into the Camp Australia website https://www..campaustralia.com.au or by ringing 1300 105 343
A friendly reminder for parents that for staffing and catering purposes children should be booked into OSHC through the Camp Australia head office, or if it is impractical to do so, through a staff member at OSHC. Where possible bookings and cancellations should be made through the Camp Australia Head Office website https://www.campaustralia.com.au/ or phone number, which is 1300 105 343. This is to ensure that we have adequate numbers of staff present to care for your children, and that we have prepared enough food to go around at snack time.
We hope to see you soon, from the Camp Australia Team
