We hope that all of the amazing Mums, Grandmothers, Aunts, Guardians and other special women of the Drysdale Primary School Community had an amazing Mother’s Day. This week our theme is Under the Sea, and we have lots of fun planned that relates to all things aquatic. We will also be investigating how humans can impact on our waterways, and things we can do to help protect our oceans and aquatic life.
Over the month of May, we are organising a pet supplies drive for GAWS (Geelong Animal welfare society). GAWS is a not-for-profit animal welfare organisation providing best practice care, community education and re-homing programs. We are seeking donations of the following items
• New or in good condition towels and blankets
• Enrichment items for the shelter animals – kongs, large tug toys, scratching posts and treats eg: pigs ears and dental chews etc.
• Dog (dry food only) and cat food (wet & dry). Please consider brands that provide meat as its first ingredient, any low quality food may upset tummies.
• Small cat beds & igloos
• Flat bed sheets (no elastic)
We will collect all donations at Drysdale Primary School until Wednesday, 26th May and everything will be distributed to GAWS then. This is open to the entire Drysdale Primary School community, not just those who use OSHC. There is a box in the hall foyer for all donations.
