Thank you to everyone who helped with the Drysdale Community Market on Sunday. There was a lot of extra arrangements to be made to ensure that we complied with the agreed COVID Safe Plan.
Many thanks to Jac Absolom for taking this on and making it happen, negotiating last minute changes resulting from a dangerous tree branch and dealing with a myriad of enquiries about having a stall at the market. The market was very well supported by our local community. This is the school’s main fundraising effort to support our well-being program. It is a big effort but one that is made easier by lots of people from within our community each doing a bit.
I would also like to thank the parent and staff team who volunteered to be on site throughout the market: Kylie King, Leanne Sharples, Carissa Ainsworth, Madeleine Chapman, Steph Davey, Alycia Dimitrijevski, Danial King, Simone Winterburn and Lizzie Elliot. Alan Climpson, who looks after the school premises, helped re-mark the sites and put out the temporary signs around Drysdale and Clifton Springs.
I am particularly grateful to the Julie Penfold and Kev McCoughtry who help out from 6:45am with the set up as they do each month.
