Welcome back to OSHC at Drysdale Primary School for term 3. We hope everyone had a happy, safe and relaxing set of holidays. We look forward to hearing all of the stories about what everyone has been up to.
It is an exciting time at Drysdale Primary School OSHC, as we have received notification of going through Assessment and Rating. This is when an assessment office from the Department of Education will come out to the service and make sure that we are compliant, and rate us against the National Quality Framework. This process is the same as all child care services, including day care centres, kindergartens and creches, go through. While this has meant that Lisa has had a couple of sleepless nights over the holidays stressing over things, it will be good to see how we are performing.
Our Assessment date has been set for next Wednesday, the 24th of June. During after school care on that day you may notice some extra adults in the OSHC space, and the Assessing Officer may ask you or the children there a few questions. Lisa may also be looking a little stressed or frazzled on this night, so hopefully everything runs smoothly.
Parents are reminded that when they are collecting their child from the service it is a good idea if they carry photo identification, just in case for some reason there are replacement educators at the service that don’t already know you. This policy is in place to protect the children and ensure they are being collected by the right people.
OSHC at Drysdale Primary School operates out of the School hall, We open at 7:00 each school day, and send the children off at 8:50, when the teachers are scheduled to commence their yard duty. Unfortunately we are unable to accept children into our care earlier than 7:00. At 3:30, once the school bell goes, children attending after school care walk over to the hall from their classrooms, with preps being picked up from their classrooms and we provide a safe place for them to play and engage with other children until they are collected. Our closing time is 6:00. For more information on our service and fees, you may visit our website www.campaustralia.com.au. If you prefer to speak to us, you can contact our friendly Customer Care Team that is available to support our families 24 hours a day, 7 days a week – except for National Public Holidays. Alternatively, you’re welcome to visit us in service and chat with our qualified Educators about the Camp Australia program at your child’s school.
A friendly reminder for parents that for staffing and catering purposes children should be booked into OSHC through the Camp Australia head office, and that should you need to cancel their booking please can this be done through head office as well. This works out much cheaper for you, as there are additional fees involved if children do not attend sessions they are booked in for. Bookings can be made or cancelled by logging into the Camp Australia website https://www.campaustralia.com.au or by ringing 1300 105 343. The team are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week (except National Public Holidays).
We look forward to seeing you and your family soon! From the Team at Camp Australia.
