Last week, 64 Year 4 students attended Camp Kangaroobie. It was a muddy experience for all involved, however the students didn’t seem to mind as they enjoyed running, climbing, canoeing and bush dancing through all the elements. Seeing first-hand the Shipwreck Coast, Loch Ard George and the 12 Apostles was a great experience for all the students, teachers and helpers involved. A big thanks to those helpers who came along to camp and enjoyed the fun of Kangaroobie with the Year 4’s.
See read more for some students reflections about their time at camp and photo gallery.
Sorry, nothing found.

The sound and light show was about the Loch Ard ship wreck and we saw how it sank and how some people survived. Ava and Tom were the survivors. A giant peacock survived too, however its beak was a little bit broken.

The camp was cold, exciting, fun and really interesting. I give it 4 and a half stars out of 5.

The best meal was pizza. I went back for fourths! The spaghetti was great, but not enough to smash it out of the park like pizza did.

If you like hunting games, dancing, getting muddy and rope courses, then this camp is for you.

The signature dish was pizza. I liked it so much I went back for sixths, knowing I had to keep my energy up. The gold medal for activities went to bush games. Silver medal went to the bush dance and bronze went to canoeing.

When we got to camp, I went to my cabin called Fiji. The cabin had no lights, and that turned out to be funny because everyone kept tripping over!

I enjoyed the Survivor Game. Black headbands meant you were a disease and could kill anything. The red headbands meant you were a carnivore and could eat others. The green headbands meant you were herbivores. They could eliminate teachers only.

First place for activities was the Sound and Light Show! I thought that it was the best because it was amazing and sad at the same time.
Tyler
The silver medal for activities goes to the obstacle course because Logan and I kept falling in the mud.

It was my brother’s birthday and we were going to camp. It was an emotional day and I had butterflies in my tummy. It was fun getting muddy on camp. I recommend going!
