Drysdale Primary School

Drysdale Market Coordinator Volunteer

We are looking for someone who is willing to take on the organisation of the school’s monthly market also known as ‘The Drysdale Market’.  This is one of our major fundraisers and a much loved community event. As our Market Coordinator, you would be responsible for liaising with stall holders and managing their site bookings, both season pass holders and casual bookings. On the day of the market, our School Council and parent volunteers manage the set up each month.  The Market Coordinator arrives once set up is underway to check in with stall holders.  If anyone is interested in taking on this role either individually or in partnership with a friend, please let me know via the Administration Office as soon as possible. We look forward to hearing from you!

Hi-Vis Vests Donation

A very big thank you is extended to Craig Turner and Adrian Van Doran from Timber Truss who have very generously donated 60 hi-vis vests to support our Bike Education program.  Craig is one of our community’s parents and has been working with the Year 5 team in the Bike Ed program this year.  We take the safety of all our students very seriously and acknowledge the benefits of our cyclists being more visible while out riding as part of the program.

FlexiBuzz Parent App

We are very excited to announce the launch of our new Parent App, FlexiBuzz. We are committed to strengthening the communication between the school and home, particularly between parents and teachers. The introduction of FlexiBuzz opens up a new channel where the school and teachers can communicate directly with parents in a timely and convenient manner.

The FlexiBuzz App runs on both Android and Apple devices and can also be used via a website on any internet-connected device. The App is free to download and there is no cost involved with the registration.

We would like to thank our Parent Fundraising Group who raised the funds to purchase FlexiBuzz at the Family Dance Night earlier this year.

Year 4 Camp

Kangraoobie was an awesome camp! The food there was amazing. We had spaghetti on the first night and on the second night we had meat pie and veggies. I enjoyed the obstacle course because we got really muddy. We also did canoeing, got to feed cows and had a bush dance. We visited Flagstaff Hill and completed a challenge to find clues around the village. Camp was lots of fun! Thank you to all of the staff at Kangaroobie and our teachers for a great camp.

Grace, Year 4

Please read on for some photo’s of camp.

Walk Ride or Scoot to School Month

We are well into “Walk To School Month” and it is great to see so many students walking, even if just part of the way to school. Well Done to 2H, who were the winners of last week’s trophy for the most walkers to school. Let’s keep up the great effort and remember to stay active by undertaking 30 minutes of exercise daily.

Camp Australia

Week two of term 4 has been a fun one at OSHC, albeit a little quiet with some of the children away on camp. We have been doing some organising, with the children helping sort out different coloured loom bands and perler beads into different containers. A big Thank You to Heidi (grade 6), Buddy (grade 2) and Owen (grade 1) for their help on this, we have really appreciated it.
