Last week the school received the NAPLAN results from the tests taken by children in Years 3 and 5 earlier in the year. Drysdale Primary School has done well in the tests looking at our results as a whole. Seven of the ten scores are higher than the equivalent in 2016.
We are particularly pleased that the Year 5 results maintained the very high levels reached last year and that the Year 3 Reading outcome was much higher than in 2016.
While all children have different strengths, our aim is that everyone should be the best they individually can be. These results show that our children have made great efforts to do this. They are to be commended for the positive approach they have taken to these tests.
I would also like to thank the staff at Drysdale Primary School for working assiduously to continue what has gone well and change whatever needs further work.
I would also like to thank all the children’s families for supporting them. Without this partnership we would not be such a successful school. Thank you.
Results for individual children will be sent home to their families tonight.
