The Year 1s travelled up to the CERES Environmental Park in Brunswick to learn more about recycling, sustainability and biodiversity. Despite the inclement weather, they all had a wonderful time and enjoyed getting their hands dirty!
Yesterday I went to CERES that was in Melbourne.
First, we learnt about where our food comes from.
Next we saw the chickens. Some of the chickens did their thing.
Finally, we made paper out of pulp. Pulp is made out of shredded up paper and water and sometimes chemicals and it was so magical.
I really liked the excursion to CERES because I got to make paper.
Yesterday I went to CERES.
First, we looked for bugs and insects.
Next, we learnt how to make paper out of pulp. Pulp is made out of old paper from a long time ago.
Then, we looked in the veggie garden. I saw a pumpkin.
Finally, we go to see the chickens in the yard. There were two girls.
I really loved the excursion to CERES because I got to look out of the window on the bus. I saw a truck and lots of cars.
