On Friday 10th March Ruby, William, Tom and Lily all went into Geelong to learn more skills about how to be better school captains. Whilst we were there we learned from other school captains from Year 12 and their experiences.
We did many activities like planning major events, how to be more empathetic school captains and recognise things that we are good at and things we need to improve on. During these activities we learned what we need to improve on and how we can improve ourselves to be better school captains.
We were sorted into 12 different groups and we had to work with people from different schools. We had a scenario and we had to trace someone in our group and write down how they would feel, what we could say to them and ask a question about it. Every group did that and one of us had to share what we had accomplished. We all learnt so much more on how to improve on being school captains. We are very lucky to have had this opportunity.
