It has been great to see so many people helping out in the Veggie Garden each Thursday lunchtime. We are continuing to harvest the tomatoes, beans and the final batches of lemons and limes. We have now cleaned out most of our garden beds and have begun to plant some of our Woolworths seedlings. Many thanks to those who have donated these, we now have enough to last us for the next few months.
We would also like to say a huge thanks to our parent helper – Bec Buchanan and Tania Chaplin for their help in the garden and for the donations of flowers and bulbs that Bec provided for our students to begin planting.
If anyone has any spare manure or compost that could help improve the quality of some of the soil in our garden beds we would appreciate your donations. Please let Ms Hoyne in Year 1 know and we can arrange a time before or after school to get it into the garden.
