We are now half way through the term, although it really feels as if the term was still only just beginning. We’ve got lots of amazing things coming up for the rest of the term. The highlight of this is the National Handball/Downball competition, which will happen from the 23rd to the 26th of March during after school care. The winner from each Camp Australia service has the opportunity to proceed onto the regional championships, and there will be prizes and certificates for everyone who registers to participate. Log onto the Camp Australia parent portal to find out more and to register your child for the competition.
Even though it might not feel like it yet, it is time to start thinking about your plans for holiday club. Bookings for Camp Australia’s Rocketeers holiday program are now open, with programs available locally at Ocean Grove Primary School, East Geelong Primary School, Fyans Park Primary School, Montpellier Primary School and Geelong Lutheran College. Going away? Your Camp Australia registration allows you to use any Rocketeers holiday club program in the country.
Please be advised that OSHC will be closed on Monday the 8th of March due to the labour day public holiday. We hope the entire Drysdale Primary School community has a fantastic and enjoyable long weekend.
OSHC at Drysdale Primary School operates out of the School hall. We open at 7:00 each school day, and children are at 8:50. Unfortunately we are unable to accept children into our care earlier than 7:00. Families can access the service through the hall glass door that faces out onto Stonehouse Place (tennis courts carpark). At 3:30, children attending after school care walk over to the hall and we provide a safe place for hem to play and engage with other children until they are collected by their parent or other authorised contact. Our closing time is 6:00, please ensure that you have collected your children by then. Late pick up of children may incur additional charges.
This year we are moving to completely digitised enrollment records. Please take this opportunity to ensure all of your details are up to date, including your contact phone numbers, address and any relevant medical information. Keeping this information up to date and complete is a vital part of the service remaining compliant, and we can no longer just change things on your enrolment form, or add details, such as medicare or ambulance numbers, or doctor’s details and have you initial the change. All changes must be done online through the Camp Australia parent portal. Your assistance in this matter is greatly appreciated.
Parents please be reminded that in order to use the service they need to be registered with Camp Australia.. We are unable to accept children into the service who are not registered with Camp Australia.
A friendly reminder for parents that for staffing and catering purposes children should be booked into OSHC through the Camp Australia head office, and that should you need to cancel their booking please can this be done through head office as well. This works out much cheaper for you, as there are additional fees involved if children do not attend sessions they are booked in for. Bookings can be made or cancelled by logging into the Camp Australia website https://www.campaustralia.com.au or by ringing 1300 105 343. The team are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week (except National Public Holidays).
We look forward to seeing you and your family soon!
From the Team at Camp Australia.
