The end of term is fast approaching and there is a lot of excitement for end of year events and celebrations. We look forward to joining classes, students and staff for the celebrations in the coming weeks.
Ewan and Kameryn from Prep came by the office to share their work about the weather. Kameryn’s poster was bright and colourful and shared facts about the sun and rain. She was very proud of this work. Ewan read his weather report that shared facts about the wind, temperature and forecast. He spoke clearly and was also very proud of his report.
Zara from Year 4 shared her presentation about Albert Jacka, a World War One veteran. Her presentation was well research and showed her understanding of the importance of Remembrance Day.
This past week also saw some students ‘cash in’ their hard earned Values Tokens and be Principal for a double session (100 minutes). Sophie and Ruby have put this report together for you.
“Our time as Principal was awesome! We wore ties and a Principal badge and felt very special. We visited classes and handed out values tokens to students and looked at their work. We walked around a lot and then got to have ice cold water in the staff room. It was special when we handed out 200 Club certificates to people in 3M and laminated their photos for the wall in the office. We had a meeting with the Principal team and talked about how to improve the school. We can’t wait to be Principal again!”
I would like to thank Amy Wright and Lucy Croxford for stepping out of their class and into the other Assistant Principal’s chair while Nicole was on leave. Thank you both for your support and hard work over the past two weeks.
