As we come to the end of a very unusual Term 3, I would like to thank every member of our amazing school community for their support during this period of remote learning.
It has been a huge challenge in many different ways. We are almost on the last lap with just the first week of next term to negotiate remotely before we can welcome the children back to face to face learning. Hard though it has been, the bigger picture is that as a community and a state we have reduced COVID infections to a manageable number.
Speaking to my relatives in both the UK and the USA where daily numbers are in the thousands and loss is commonplace, this is very significant. As a school we are working on plans for Term 4 and into 2021 to address elements of 2020 we have lost.
Normally this would be concert week which is one of the special highlights of the school year for so many students and adults. While we do not know what restrictions may still be in place in Term 4, Mr Stephens and the concert team are looking to find alternative ways of showcasing the children’s abilities especially for the Year 6 group.
A reminder that this Friday is our last day for Term 3 with school finishing for the day at 2:30pm.
We look forward to seeing all of the students again next term.
