To celebrate making it to the last week of Term 3, the Junior School Council have come up with four different themed days for the last four days of this week.
The idea is that each day gives an opportunity to do something a little different, share it with your online class (where possible) and have some fun. Click read more to view the details of each of the days.
We are happy to receive photos or short videos of students participating in any of the days. Simply email them through to drysdale.ps@education.vic.gov.au and we will feature a selection of them next term.
Green Thumbs Tuesday is all about getting outside and getting your hands dirty. Heavily inspired by Mr Field’s webisodes of Better Fields and Gardens, we thought that it was time for the students to have a turn. Spring is a great time to pull out some weeds, pick some flowers, plant some seeds, water the garden, fertilize the citrus trees, sweep the porch or rake the lawn. A bit of fresh air during our breaks always helps with our learning. What jobs can you do in your garden?
Guy was very keen to get everyone in the school up and moving for 30 minutes on Work It Wednesday. There are so many ways to get active including running, jumping, climbing, bouncing, skipping, riding, stretching and dancing just to name a few. What physical activity could you get up and do?
The end of Term 3 is traditionally Sports Colours Day. Dress up in your favourite teams’ colours and bring some excitement into your Remote Learning classes. Ziva and Miss Daffy’s Tigers are looking very good this year, but as always, there will be plenty of blue and white out there supporting the Cats.
Inspired by GEM TV, we are really looking forward to Air Guitar Friday to mark the end of the week. Dress up, crank up the tunes, grab your air guitar and let loose. Scientifically proven to put a smile on your face and put you in a terrific mood. Let’s celebrate making through a Term 3 like no other!
