Christmas has arrived at OSHC, with Christmas themed activities on offer for the next few weeks, including Christmas Storybook reading, decorating cardboard baubles, Perler bead Christmas decorations, Christmas card collages, photo frames and Santa door hangers. Of course, there will be non Christmas based activities on offer as well, and our usual range of active games.
We have received some feedback from parents about the car park (Stonehouse Place) please remember that this is a one way street at all times, not just at pick up and drop off time. Just because there are few or no other cars around, and you are running late for work, or want to get home at the end of the day, you are not supposed to drive into the carpark from the Bennett Street end. There have already been some near misses, and this is a serious safety matter. Please also be mindful of the speed limit in the car park.
If you haven’t already, it is time to start thinking about your plans for your children for over the Summer school holidays. Bookings are now open for Camp Australia School Holiday programs for over the summer holidays. Holiday club is now being offered on the 23rd and 24th of December, before being closed between Christmas and New Years Day, re-opening on the 2nd of January, and running throughout January to the 24th. Copies of the program that will be on offer at our two closest Holiday Clubs, Ocean Grove Primary School and Geelong East Primary School, are now available on the Camp Australia School Holiday Club website, which is www.campaustralia.com.au/holidayclubs. If these locations do not suit your family’s needs, then programs are also located at Fyans Park Primary School, Montpellier Primary School and Geelong Lutheran College.
With the arrival of term 4 we need to remind everyone that sun smart hats should be brought to OSHC so that the children can go outside and enjoy the amazing weather we get this time of year at after school care. This is becoming increasingly important as the UV is now higher later into the day.
OSHC at Drysdale Primary School operates out of the School hall, We open at 7:00 each school day, and send the children off at 8:50, when the teachers are scheduled to commence their yard duty. Unfortunately we are unable to accept children into our care earlier than 7:00. At 3:30, once the school bell goes, children attending after school care walk over to the hall from their classrooms, with preps being picked up from their classrooms and we provide a safe place for them to play and engage with other children until they are collected. Our closing time is 6:00. For more information on our service and fees, you may visit our website www.campaustralia.com.au. If you prefer to speak to us, you can contact our friendly Customer Care Team that is available to support our families 24 hours a day, 7 days a week – except for National Public Holidays. Alternatively, you’re welcome to visit us in service and chat with our qualified Educators about the Camp Australia program at your child’s school.
A friendly reminder for parents that for staffing and catering purposes children should be booked into OSHC through the Camp Australia head office, and that should you need to cancel their booking please can this be done through head office as well. This works out much cheaper for you, as there are additional fees involved if children do not attend sessions they are booked in for. Bookings can be made or cancelled by logging into the Camp Australia website https://www.campaustralia.com.au or by ringing 1300 105 343. The team are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week (except National Public Holidays).
We look forward to seeing you and your family soon! From the Team at Camp Australia.
