Remy from Year 3 has written a very detailed recount of the Year 3s recent excursion to GPAC.
Arrive at School
When I arrived at school at 8:45am, I was in my costume ready to go to Costa Hall. I walked into the schools grounds and saw all my friends in their fantastic costumes. The doors had opened and I walked into the classroom. I felt really nervous because there would be lots and lots of people watching.
The Bus Journey
We finally got to the bus and my partner was Lily. On the bus we did a lot of talking and I saw a lot of animals out the windows like sheep, cows and birds. When we got to the city of Geelong, I didn’t feel as nervous anymore. I felt excited.
Arrive at Costa Hall
When we arrived at Costa Hall we walked up some stairs to get to the hall. We were in the hall and sat in our seats to watch the other people in their performance. They were all really good.
Walk to Backstage
When it was nearly our go, we got out of our seats and walked backstage and waited quietly for our go.
The Performance
When it was Drysdale’s go, 3M went first and they performed “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious.” They were great! Next 3E were performing “Spoonful of Sugar.” They were great too! Finally, it was our go. We slowly walked on the stage and the music started. When we finished, we watched the last act. It was great.
Exit Costa Hall
When the last act had finished, we went outside to eat our snacks. I ate with Archie, Cole and Zac.
The Bus Journey Home
We finally started to walk back to the bus. My partner was Archie this time. We did a lot of laughing and saw lots of things.
My feelings on the performance
I felt really nervous at the start, but when we got more into it, I felt good. Afterwards, I felt really proud.
