Congratulations to this week’s Principal Award recipients;
Brydie of Year 5 – Brydie showed excellent resilience recently during a maths lesson. Instead of just giving up, she persisted with her equivalent number sentences until it made sense to her and she understood the requirement. Great job Brydie, keep kicking those goals.
Jayden of Year 2 – Jayden you have shown such great resilience this week. You have stayed positive even when things didn’t go the way you had planned. Well done Jayden, keep it up.
Chloe of Year 6 – Chloe is kind, responsible and hardworking. This term she has taken risks with her learning and accepted challenges to improve. Chloe is now proof reading and editing her writing on a regular basis, which has dramatically improved the final product. Well done!
Max of Year Prep – Max is a thoughtful, kind and respectful student who always thinks about others. He always goes out of his way to include others and always works happily and effectively with his peers. Max always models acceptance of others. Thank you Max for being such an inclusive member of our class.
Emma of Year 1 – Emma you have shown outstanding integrity this year. You have made great improvements in your reading, writing and your independence. We are so proud of you, keep up all the great work Emma.
Nathan of Year 5 – Nathan demonstrates exemplary behaviour and always brings a positive attitude to Visual Arts. He has challenged himself during his clay project and has shown that effort pays off. Well done Nathan and keep up the great work.
Dylan of Year 5 – You are showing leadership qualities in many aspects of school life, from putting away sports equipment in the yard to completing your work to the highest standard. You have been supporting your peers during whole group work and continuously show a fabulous work ethic. Congratulations Dylan.
Eli of Year 4 – For an excellent, in-depth analysis of two similar texts. You were able to compare and contrast the different use of language and how the author and illustrator developed each setting. Well done Eli!
Owen of Year 5 – Owen writes engaging narratives with complicated but complete story lines which take the reader on a fantastic journey. Well done on your writing success Owen.
Xavier of Year 1 – For showing Success in the Indonesian program. Xavier has used known Indonesian words in conversation including ‘laki laki’ and ‘terima kasih’. Bagus!
Luciana of Year 4 – Luciana was able to apply her knowledge of multiplication to solve the ‘What is the PLOCOROO’ problem. She was able to identify the differences between ‘groups of’ and ‘for each’ ideas of multiplication. Luciana was able to use a tree diagram rather than an array to represent multiplication when the problem has more than two factors. Well done!
Elise of Year 1 – Elise has shown exceptional ability with her imaginative writing this term. She was able to construct a narrative text using a beginning, middle and end including descriptive words to introduce her characters and setting. Keep up the great work Superstar!
Billy of Year Prep – Billy is a trusted member of Prep who enjoys taking on new challenges. He is beginning to develop confidence in working independently, as well as learning to push through distractions in order to complete his tasks. Billy is a fun and friendly student to all those around him. He has a great sense of humour. Keep up the great work Billy!
Grace of Year 4 – Grace is always willing to give things a go in Art. She has continued to extend her skills artistically which has been displayed in her lovely artwork. Well done Grace.
Kira of Year 6 – For showing Enjoyment towards learning Indonesian. Kira has displayed an interest in learning more about the Indonesian culture. She asked about the cost of certain food in the country. Hebat!
