At the start of the year we introduced School Wide Positive Behaviour. This formalizes the philosophy used at Drysdale Primary of rewarding the good behaviour of the vast majority of our students to improve the behavior of all students. A part of this approach is the creation of a behaviour matrix which sets out expected behaviours in the classroom, outside the classroom and online linked to our five core school values of Resilience, Acceptance, Integrity, Success and Enjoyment. The school has three simple rules which apply in all situations: we follow instructions, we use appropriate school language and we keep hands, feet and objects to ourselves.
You can find copies of this matrix, the structure of the rewards that link to the matrix and the school’s behavior management policy on the schools website policy section.
