With a couple of recent additions to our staff, it is time to introduce some of our newest staff members. This week we are profiling Mrs Greenhough, who is sharing the role of teaching Prep M alongside Mrs Rodgers. Mrs Greenhough is well known to a number of our students as she has already been doing some relief teaching at Drysdale PS earlier this year.
I have taught in various schools across Melbourne before moving to the Surf Coast a little over a year ago. I worked at Cheltenham Primary School until going on maternity leave and then I worked part-time, job sharing at Albany Rise Primary School. I have experience teaching across all year levels and also taught English in Japan for a year at the beginning of my career.
What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
Spending time with my family exploring the beaches, bike paths and countryside near our new home.
What have your first impressions been of Drysdale PS?
I was hugely welcomed from day one at Drysdale PS. The staff are supportive, friendly, with an exemplary attitude towards teaching and student welfare. The students always say hello with glowing smiles and are genuinely engaged in their activities.
What do you enjoy most about teaching?
I enjoy developing meaningful relationships with my students and helping them to achieve both their learning and personal goals.
Tell us something interesting about yourself.
I have travelled to every continent apart from Antartica. Must put that on my bucket list!
