It’s hard to believe there are less than two weeks left of term 1. How fast has this term flown by? It seems like only yesterday that we were all getting ready for the first day of school for 2019.
Popular activities for last week have included the 3 Marker challenge, making Harmony Day loom band bracelets, construction with the straws and connectors, bobs and statues and making complicated tracks with the dominoes. We’ve seen some great ingenuity from our children too, with the most popular activity this week being the improvised GaGa pit the children have been constructing in the gym.
For this week we have planned a nature scavenger hunt, a Uno tournament, decorating Easter masks, and lego constructions, as well as the usual range of activities that the children have free choice of.
With only two weeks left of School for this term don’t forget about School Holiday Program. As many of you have been informed via an email from Camp Australia, unfortunately we will no longer be offering School Holiday program at Drysdale Primary School. This is due to the low number of children that attended the service in previous school holidays. Camp Australia, however, will be offering Holiday club at other schools in the Geelong area. Our theme for these holidays is Jungle Jam, with lots of fun activities planned. Our closest Camp Australia School Holiday clubs are Ocean Grove Primary School, Geelong East Primary School, Geelong Lutheran College, Fyans Park Primary School and Montpellier Primary School. To find out what’s planned for each of these services during the school holidays and join in the fun, visit:www.campaustralia.com.au/holidayclubs. You can also call our friendly Customer Care Team on 1300 105 343 – 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We look forward to seeing you and your family at Jungle Jam.
OSHC at Drysdale Primary School operates out of the School hall, We open at 7:00 each school day, and send the children off at 8;45, with the prep students being walked over to their classrooms by an educator for at least the first 6 weeks. At 3:30 the children attending after school care walk over to the hall from their classrooms (once again preps are picked up from their classrooms) and we provide a safe place for them to play and engage with other children until they are collected. Our closing time is 6:00. For more information on our service and fees, you may visit our website www.campaustralia.com.au. If you prefer to speak to us, you can contact our friendly Customer Care Team that is available to support our families 24 hours a day, 7 days a week – except for National Public Holidays. Alternatively, you’re welcome to visit us in service and chat with our qualified Educators about the Camp Australia program at your child’s school.
A friendly reminder for parents that for staffing and catering purposes children should be booked into OSHC through the Camp Australia head office, and that should you need to cancel their booking please can this be done through head office as well. This works out much cheaper for you, as there are additional fees involved if children do not attend sessions they are booked in for. Bookings can be made or cancelled by logging into the Camp Australia website https://www..campaustralia.com.au or by ringing 1300 105 343.. The team are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week (except National Public Holidays).
We look forward to seeing you and your family soon! From the Team at Camp Australia.
