We celebrated multi-cultural week and Harmony Day in our Kids Matter Assembly yesterday. The focus was on our school value of Acceptance. In an increasingly multi-cultural and diverse society it is vital that our whole community practises tolerance and acceptance of the people we meet. As part of the assembly children whose families speak a language other than English welcomed us in their other language. There was such a wide range of languages from all over the world. This Thursday, we ask all children to wear orange to school. Orange is the official colour of Harmony Day. If you don’t have anything orange at home, please wear your school uniform this Thursday.
