I have been asked to clarify what appears to be known as ‘the 8:50 rule’. At Drysdale Primary School we provide active supervision of the children in the playgrounds from 8:50am each morning. Children should not arrive at school before this time unless they are being supervised by an adult or are part of our Before School Care program which is run by Camp Australia in our school hall. We ask the students not to enter the buildings to put their bags away until after 8:50am. However, adults who wish to talk to their child’s teacher are welcome to call in at the classroom. The teachers are often in their rooms at this time setting up their class to welcome the students, but they may also be away from their room attending meetings. If you are looking for your child’s teacher and they are not in their room, please call in at the Administration Office where our Office Staff will arrange for the teacher to contact you.
