The volunteers of our Parents Fundraising Group do amazing work running an exciting and varied range of fundraising activities each year. This year they are planning some new events as well as some traditionally run at Drysdale Primary School. In Term 1 there will be a new event, Obstacool, which will take place on the last day of this term, Friday 5th April. An obstacle course of giant inflatables will be set up around the school oval with each year group having an opportunity to tackle the course. Towards the end of the day, there will be time for parents and staff to take their turn. It looks like a lot of fun and a great way to round off Term 1 while raising money to support our ambitious plans for the redevelopment of the school’s grounds. Look out for more information over the coming weeks.
Later in the year, we will hold the Mother’s Day and Father’s Day stalls in May and September respectively. We are holding a “Bogan Bingo” in August which I am very much looking forward to. I never come close to winning the Trivia Night so this could be my year. With the support of the staff and our School Council, we have taken the decision to run the Spring Fair every second year to create the time and space to run alternatives. Announcements will be made as we get closer to the date of each event.
