Here we are at week 8 of Term 4. Not too long now. I have been advised by the children that as of the end of the day today there are only 17 more days of school left for this year. Not long to go now.
At Drysdale Primary School OSHC there has been lots going on. On Monday night, to escape the heat, we made a water slide out on the playground, which was a big hit and was very popular with the children. The perler beads have also been very popular, as has games of Uno, basketball, cricket, soccer, and talking about what some of the children’s highlights from Spring Fair. Some of the children showed great co-operation and teamwork when they worked together to build a new trolley to hold our sports equipment.
This week we have started to do some Christmas activities, although there will be much more emphasis and festive themed things over the next few weeks. We have also planned an Uno tournament, Construction with our foam blocks, book discussions, active play, playground play, and imaginative play, as well as all the wide range of other activities the children can participate in.
This week we also welcome a new member to the OSHC team. Kane is currently studying his teaching degree, and will be joining us each afternoon for after school care.
Please be advised that the service will be closed on Friday the 7th of December due to the Pupil Free Day.
