Thanks to the wonderful DPS Parents Fundraising Group (PFG), each year group was given funds to support the Inquiry learning happening in our school. On behalf of all students and teachers we would like to pass on a huge thank you to the PFG for this fantastic support of our Inquiry learning program. Funds were spent on a range of resources, including weather puzzles, temperature gauges and rainfall measures to support the Prep Unit of Inquiry. The money in Year 1 is going to be used this term to subsidies a ‘Hatching Eggs’ program whilst in Yr 2 the students got to explore a resource kit sent from the Melbourne Museum to support their learning in Term 3 on Indigenous Australians. The Senior School students have also benefited hugely from these funds, for example the Year 4 and Year 5 teachers were able to buy materials which enabled the students to take part in many new experiments to support their science knowledge and understanding. Many thanks to parents for their ongoing support of our Inquiry learning program.
