Get set for Prep!
Drysdale Primary School supports parents, carers and students as they prepare for a successful transition to Prep in 2019.
Thursday 18 October 6:30-7:30pm
A session outlining all you need to know about the Prep year and an opportunity to ask questions. This session will be led by the current Prep staff.
Tuesday 23 October (Group 1) 9:30-10:30am or
Friday 26 October (Group 2) 9:30-10:30am
Children and parents are invited to explore the current Prep classrooms through informal play, followed by a structured activity.
Wednesday 7 October 9:30-10:30am
Children will be allocated to a prep classroom, based on kinder groups, for an informal play, followed by a structured activity. Parents are invited to a meet and greet morning tea in the staffroom.
Thursday 22 November 9:30-10:30am
Children will be allocated to a prep classrooms in a mixed group, for informal play, followed by a structured activity. Parents are invited to attend a Kids Matter information session in the staffroom.
Tuesday 4 December 10:30am – 12:30pm
Children will be with their 2019 teacher in a prep classroom from 10:30-11:30am. During this time, parents are invited to attend a well-being information session with Blanche Denmead. At 11:30am the 2019 Grade 6 students will collect their Prep buddy from the classroom and take families around the school on a tour, followed by a barbeque at 12pm.
Monday 10 December 9:00-3:00pm
This is an opportunity for you to meet with your child’s Prep teacher for a ten minute interview, and share any information or ask questions in preparation for the 2019 school year.
