Melanie Burton 6

It is with the greatest sadness that we inform our school community of the sudden and unexpected passing of Melanie Burton, the school’s Business Manager, earlier this morning.

Mel has worked as an integral part of Drysdale Primary for many years offering invaluable support to the school community.  She worked closely with all the staff, the school council and as a valued member of the principal’s leadership team. We will miss her professional expertise, but more so her wisdom, laughter, friendship and insight.

School assembly tomorrow has been cancelled to allow our school community time to come to terms with this tragic news. We have arranged for support to be available at school for any member of our community who wishes to receive this.

A tragic loss to the school, her friends and especially her family. Having worked with Mel over many years through the school council, I loved her professionalism, her cheeky sense of humour, her support, and her friendship. A very sad day.
