Millennium Kids Skype with Western Australia

The Millennium Kids on a Skype call with Harvey Primary in Western Australia

Recently a group of students in Year 5 participated in a video link with Harvey Primary School in Western Australia. The link was made possible as part of our school’s involvement in the ‘Millennium Kids’ Program.

The link provided the opportunity for the students to connect with a school in another state to share their ideas on how each school is trying to reduce waste. The discussion was fantastic and highlighted the knowledge our students have in becoming environmentally responsible and what we need to do to protect our planet.

As part of this program our school is participating in the RED Project, an initiative that allows us to recycle all our flexible plastic waste. The work of this group is helping us to become a zero waste school.
