Exercise Often = healthy minds and healthy bodies

Getting active is great for everyone. When we exercise it releases ‘Feel Good’ endorphins. These endorphins are great for your health and Wellbeing. The more you move, the better you’ll feel. Getting your child on board and motivated to exercise is sometimes difficult, with a bit of encouragement it can be so rewarding.
Invite a friend to join in.
You don’t need to do anything too strenuous, just as long as you get your child moving. Aim for 10 minutes a day. You may even find they lose track of time and end up enjoying themselves and therefore exercising for a lot longer.
Join in and make connections with your child. Why not let them choose the activity.

Try these activities:

* Walk your dog or a relatives/friends
* Bike riding – We have an amazing Rail Trail!
* Walk part of the way or all the way to school
* Go for a kick of football/soccer ball. (D.P.S has great facilities)
* Dance, put some tunes on and be silly. (Great for any age)
* Shoot some hoops (lots of local venues for this one)
* Yoga
