Drysdale Primary School

Principal’s Update

Welcome Back

It was great to see everyone back refreshed and ready to go despite the cold and wet weather yesterday! This term will no doubt be another busy one with Parent/Teacher/Student Learning Conversations, mini-Olympics, athletics, a curriculum day and the big one – Concert – in the last week of term.

NAPLAN 2024: NAPLAN results have arrived at school, and we are currently sorting them out. They should be sent home later this week. Overall, we are very proud of the effort that the students put in and the results they achieved. Please remember that NAPLAN is a snapshot of your child on one day of the year and if you have any questions regarding your child’s NAPLAN results, please make a time to talk to their teacher.

Thanks

Glen Lauder

Principal

Breakfast Club

Thank you to the Drysdale Uniting Church Op Shop for their generous donation to the Drysdale Primary School Breakfast Club. This money is so beneficial to the Club and its continued success. The Uniting Church Op Shop have been continued supporters of the school and we can’t thank them enough for this donation. It ensures that we can continue our Club twice a week for the remainder of the year.

This term we have some of our Year 6 students volunteering to serve their peers some toasties each morning. They are rostered on just like our staff who have volunteered for this in the past. We loved having them help out some mornings in Term 2 and can’t wait to have some Kids Matter or Junior School Council members supporting the Breakfast Club this term. Don’t forget your smile and your manners when you pop past for a toastie or some fruit this term.

Kate, Kendra, Kylie, Jess and Kerryn.
