I hope that everyone was able to enjoy some downtime over the school holiday break and relax. This term will be another jam packed one with Life Education visiting, student led conferences, sporting events to happen and most importantly school concert. Stay tuned to future newsletters and the Sentral Portal for updates about all these wonderful events.

I look forward to being part of it all.

A massive congratulations goes out to Kenzie from Middle Years for her recent achievements at the US Open World Martial Arts Tournament. Kenzie came away with 3 firsts, a 3rd, and a 4th, which makes her a 3-time world champion this year.

Her hard work and dedication paid off and she and her family are very proud of her results. As a team they did great, and team Australia did amazing!

Whole School Athletics Day – Thursday 27 July

We are very excited to again be hosting a Whole School Athletics Day here at Drysdale Primary School. This is being held on Thursday 27 July on and around the school oval.

The day serves as both a House competition for all students from Prep – Year 6 as well as a qualifying event for a DPS team to compete at the District Athletics at Landy Field on August 15.

To successfully run a day like this, we require a number of parent volunteers. If you are able to assist on the day (and hold a current Working with Children Check), could you please fill in the linked form.

Sonic Boom Rock School @ DPS Term 3

This term we are introducing another new teacher to the staff and opening up another whole day for lessons so there is plenty of room for new students.
Tom Stevenson, a multi-instrumentalist, father of three and hardworking musician in the local scene, will be joining the teaching staff. If you attended the School Assembly Performance at the end of last term, you would have seen Tom there assisting Tim and even stepping up into one of the bands to help out (no rehearsal required!). We’re all very excited to have him on the team.

If you are unsure what the program is then here’s some quick info:

We’re a music tuition and performance program designed to free up creative thinking in children from Grade Two upwards.
