As this is the last newsletter for this term, we would like to sincerely thank all of our students, families and staff for all of the hard work through Term 3. It has been jam packed and we have certainly loved seeing the enjoyment and ‘light bulb’ moments our students have experienced.
Student Led Conferences finish tonight and it has been fabulous to watch our students share their learning goals and outcomes. It is a great opportunity to develop further student ownership and voice connected to their learning. If you would like to speak further to your child’s teacher, please feel free to arrange a time directly with them through the Sentral Parent Portal.
Concert is back and we are all so excited to see the students up on stage! Next Thursday night is shaping up to be amazing and we can’t thank Mr. Stephens, the teachers and of course our students for all of the extra singing, dancing and planning that has gone into making sure concert 2022 is enjoyable for all!
Next week’s Link will be the ‘Snippet’ so we would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a safe and happy holiday!

Our school concert returns this year on Thursday 15th September from 6.00pm to 9.00pm. Each class is performing a song on stage which will be followed, after an interval by a longer performance written and produced by our Year 6 children under the guidance of our Performing Arts teacher, Trent Stephens.
Families can purchase tickets via Trybooking, via following link https://www.trybooking.com/CBYDF.
Families are not required to purchase a ticket for DPS students. All students will have an opportunity to watch the other classes earlier in the week. On concert night children will wait in their classroom after their performance and can be collected from there at the interval. Students will then either go home with you or go with you to the hall if you are staying for the Year 6 show.
In order to accommodate as many families and friends as possible there will a matinee performance on Wednesday 14th September. This will be a full dress rehearsal, it may not be as polished and fluent as the night session, but it will still be a great performance and an opportunity for people who are not able to attend the night session to still experience the concert.
No tickets are required for the matinee/full dress rehearsal. This is a FREE session.
Times for our Matinee are as follows however please be aware that times may vary depending on the speed at which transitions between year levels occur. Advice is to arrive prior to the listed starting time for acts before the break…….just in case.

Thank you to all the families that have donated items to our Breakfast Club this term. We have plenty of vegemite and jam to get us through most of Term 4, so thank you so much. We are always after paper bags if you would like to donate something for the remainder of this term.
We feel like we keep getting busier and busier each week with serving our students but we love it and it is really a great way to start our day. We really enjoy seeing so many smiling faces coming by Breakfast Club on their way to class. We have noticed a lot of the rubbish from our items is ending up on the ground in our school yard. Bins are provided outside Breakfast Club each morning, so if your child/ren are coming please remind them to look after our school grounds and to please place any rubbish in the bins.
The last Breakfast Club for term will be on Monday 12 September. There will not be any Breakfast Club on the last Friday of term due to come kitchen upgrade works happening at that time. Thank you for understanding. We look forward to being back again next term from Friday October 7.
Thanks, Kate, Kendra and Kylie.

Drysdale Primary School is a SunSmart school.
During term 4 students must wear their hat outside during recess, lunchtime and any sport activities. Please can they also bring their drink bottle especially on Phys Ed days.
Even though many days have been cloudy, the UV rating remains high. This means that students need to protect themselves against the harmful effect of the strong Australian sun.

During next week, on the Tuesday 13th, Wednesday 14th and Thursday 15th of September, we will be required to relocate to the BER (Junior) building due to the school concert. This will only impact After School Care, Before School care will remain in the hall as per normal. As the BER building is outside of our approved area, we need to treat this like an excursion, so we need parental consent to take the children to the other building. If your child is booked in to attend that week please call into OSHC to sign the form. On the dates in question there will be signage in place detailing to parents where exactly we are, and we will be also verbally reminding everyone as time draws closer.
