Sunscreen

A reminder to families that in line with our SunSmart policy students have access to sunscreen in their classrooms. Ideally, students should already be wearing sunscreen when they arrive at school and should only require this sunscreen for re-application. If your child has any allergies or are sensitive to sunscreen we ask that they don’t use the available sunscreen. The sunscreen provided in classrooms is Deb Stokoderm Sun Protect SPF50+. Details on the ingredients in the sunscreen and Safety Data Sheer are available here Deb Stokoderm Sun Protect SPF50+

Lost Property

Huge thanks to Jo Wright who once again gave up her time to clean and sort the lost property at the back of the Hall. Jo, we are extremely grateful for your efforts here! Thank you so much!

Some important reminders to all parents regarding lost property;

  • Please label all clothing that comes to school! If items came labelled to school our mountain of lost property would be much more manageable. We often find brand new jumpers or pants that are in perfect condition, but with no name. Please label everything!
  • If your child doesn’t bring home an item of clothing, go to the lost property at the back of the Hall and look for it
  • Any items that haven’t been claimed from lost property by Monday 16th December (last Monday of term) will be given to second hand uniform for sale

Also, please be advised that we currently have a couple of items of lost property that your child may be missing! We currently have a mobile phone and a fitbit which have been handed in, if you believe these belong to your child please send them to the Administration Office to describe the item and collect them.

Camp Australia

It has been another fun filled week at Before and After school care at Drysdale primary School. The children enjoyed talking about their plans for Halloween while making pumpkin lanterns, as well as enjoying making things with the perler beads, and helping to continue sorting out the perler beads into different coloured tubs. Other popular activities have included Checkers, Chess, Guess Who, and making their own costumes out of paper. We also managed to escape the worst of the heat last week, with the children enjoying being squirted with cold water from our squirt bottles, although with the heat they quickly dried off.
